Romans: The Spirit of Adoption
Scripture: Romans 8: 12-25 (NRSV)
Salvation is not about Jesus and me. It is so much bigger. It’s about you and me, and all creation being delivered from decay. Jesus makes us not only a new creation, but he promises to make all things new. We, along with all creation yearn for a new heaven and a new earth. In the meantime, we have hope because God has rescued us from fear and adopted us as his sons and daughters in the family of God. We can carry on now and into the future. All things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
