In the presence of Jesus, the very real fears and doubts of the disciples melted away. The peace and presence of Jesus has a way of unlocking the cage of fear we find ourselves trapped in and setting us free. The peace of Christ leads to joy and life . . . which leads to the experience of grace and the extension of God’s forgiveness to others. Christ’s peace frees us to face what we have to face. Resurrection leads to mission: As the Father sent me, so I send you.”
