Our Traditional Worship Service offers a reverent and enriching experience grounded in Presbyterian theology and liturgical tradition. This service beautifully blends the timeless sounds of a majestic organ with the uplifting harmonies of our dedicated choir, creating a harmonious backdrop for worship. Through carefully crafted liturgical practices and traditional hymns, we honor our heritage while engaging deeply with the core tenets of our faith. Each element of the service—from the opening call to worship to the closing benediction—reflects a commitment to our Presbyterian roots and a dedication to thoughtful, contemplative worship. Experience the profound sense of community and spiritual connection that comes from gathering in this cherished tradition.
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir leads the congregation in the singing of hymns, Psalms, and spiritual songs at our traditional worship services. This ensemble offers a variety of sacred choral works, including motets, anthems, chorales, and spirituals. The Sanctuary Choir meets in the Choir Room for rehearsals on Thursdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 10:30am from the first week of August to Pentecost. Membership in the sanctuary choir is open to singers aged 15 and older, with opportunities for singers of varying levels of musical experience.
Handbell Choir – currently on hiatus
Our handbell choir enhances the music in our traditional worship services with instrumental selections and aiding in the accompaniment of choral and congregational singing. Ringers occasionally offer handbell solos, duets, and selections for smaller bell ensembles. Immanuel proudly boasts a five-octave set of Malmark American Handbells and four octaves of Choirchimes™. Membership in the handbell choir is open to ringers aged 15 and older, with opportunities for ringers of varying levels of musical experience.
Adoración
Adoración is the house band for our weekly Alternative Worship Services and leads the congregation in the singing of hymns, Psalms, spiritual songs, and contemporary worship songs. This ensemble offers a variety of genres, both sacred and secular. Membership in Adoración is by audition only.
