Agape (Love)

Agape (Love)

Scripture: Titus 3:4-7 (NLT)

In Titus we read these lovely words, “When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.” (Titus 3:4-5 NLT) Jesus Christ our Savior is not only the Word made flesh, but he’s agape made flesh, love made flesh, kindness made flesh, mercy made flesh. For God is love. And we’re made in the image of the God of love. We’re created and wired to love. And Christ helps us do what we cannot do on our own—love with agape love, God’s kind of love. Love caps off the Advent words we’ve been studying this last month–peace, hope, joy, and the greatest of these, love. And love is the greatest gift of all, the gift that just keeps giving. Love is the gift we get more of, the more we give it away!
