Giving 101: Giving With All Your Mite

Scripture: Mark 12:41-44 (KJV)

This week we find ourselves in another segment of the temple—

Jesus sitting on a bench in the Gate Beautiful, people watching. This picture of Jesus is utterly fascinating—Jesus, the distant, yet observant and curious onlooker. Like an anthropologist doing field work, he was taking mental notes on how people gave. One giver in particular jumped out at him who stood out from all the rest—a poor old widow who threw into the offering plate her own and last two cents. Today we will tell her unforgettable and inspiring story.
