The Psalms: Let Everything That Hath Breath
Psalm 63:1-11 (NRSV)
The Psalms are God’s gift to us–the people of God’s prayer book and hymnbook. We are the Psalms’ pupils in the school of prayer. The Psalms teach us to praise God in the good times and the bad times. The Psalms teach us how to vent in healthy and holy ways–to God. We’re given permission to vent, but not seek vengeance. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord!
