This is the hardest line in the Lord’s Prayer. Jesus gives us no wiggle room, no escape clauses. Our lips should tremble and our knees knock when we kneel for this portion of the prayer. This is our spiritual broccoli: Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Before we forgive, we must remember we are forgiven. This takes time, sacrifice, and daily prayer. It is painful, yet so good for the body, mind, and soul. With God all things are possible.
