Alternative Worship Service Music Leader

Rev. Dr. John C. Tittle, Worship Service Pastor
The Alternative Worship Service at Immanuel, which was launched in May of 2011, is a band-led worship expression that seeks to promote and conduct God-honoring, life-changing worship in Biblically faithful and culturally relevant ways. Our worship team is comprised of uniquely talented musicians and singers from a variety of musical backgrounds who lend their gifts toward our collective expression of adoration to God.
Our primary goal is to help facilitate an atmosphere where we can worship Christ in Spirit and in Truth within a corporate setting. To achieve this we integrate contemporary worship songs, time-tested hymns, and culturally relevant music across a wide stylistic range. We fully recognize and embrace the creativity of God by incorporating diverse genres into the worship experience. Toward that end, it is not uncommon to hear us share a special rock, country, blues, or alternative selection that has relevance to the sermon theme for a given Sunday.
The Alternative Worship experience, which is both casual and intentionally authentic, often incorporates interactive liturgical sections as well as experiential segments to actively engage the congregation. Participation in all aspects of the service is strongly encouraged!
In addition to the typical Sunday morning worship experience, the Alternative Worship Service also regularly incorporates the youth of Immanuel with the annual Youth Sunday as well as the Children’s Christmas Pageant. These events often include musical accompaniment for the IPC Dance Troupe.
We also have the privilege of actively participating in the annual Good Friday and Easter Vigil services that occur during the Easter Season.
Please consider joining us and lending your voice and heart of worship to our community!
